Diciembre2025/Miscelánea. LOS ONCE PUEBLOS MENOS POBLADOS DE LA PROVINCIA DE TERUEL

En el escudo provincial están representadas las tres ciudades de la provincia: Teruel, Alcañiz y Albarracín, además del señal real de Aragón. En el escusón esta el patrón, san Jorge. El dibujo es de Cañavate.

LA PROVINCIA DE TERUEL

El día 30 de noviembre del año 1833 mediante un decreto se crea la provincia de Teruel. Se crea, la Diputación Provincial, los Ayuntamientos, los Partido Judiciales y lo supervisa todo el Gobernador Civil y el Militar. Todo ello corresponde al desarrollo de la Constitución del año 1812. Desde entonces habrá una institución que gobierne la provincia, es la Diputación Provincial, y un gobernador civil delegado del gobierno central, a su frente. En el año 2033 estas instituciones cumplirán 200 años de existencia. Modernamente se han sumado dos instituciones nuevas al entramado administrativo de la provincia: La Diputación General de Aragón y Las Comarcas. Teruel se dividió en 1833 en diez (10) partidos judiciales y ahora se ha dividido la provincia en diez (10) comarcas.
